Marker City: Introduction
OVERVIEW:
When guests first approach the park, they see a large train station in their way. This guards the view of the park from the outside, making guests wonder if a theme park is really behind it. Despite this, they willingly go under it, seeing advertisements for attractions as they do.
Then, when they emerge from the other side, they find themselves in a totally unexpected place. They have just entered a big American city amidst the Roaring 20's. While the skyscrapers are not too big, forced perspective makes them look taller.
There are many things to take in this city. There is a park up front where entertainment can be found during certain parts of day. Going down the street, guests can see fictional businesses (a lot of which reference Mason G. Marker's family and friends). They feel immersed in the atmosphere with many interactive elements, such as street musicians, interactive characters, and even people telling about the prohibition going on (which addresses the no-alcohol policy in the park.)
But the most impressive part is found at the end of the street, where a large castle is found. Those wanting to see it will go further down the street to admire it. This is the starting point of their adventure, and more is waiting to be discovered.
